What the job actually involves
- 1Pulling production data from MES and ERP systems (typically SAP) for daily and weekly performance reporting
- 2Investigating quality defects — using Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams and statistical tools to identify root causes
- 3Calculating and tracking OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for production lines
- 4Building and maintaining dashboards for shift supervisors and plant management
- 5Analysing supply chain data for inventory levels, supplier performance and demand patterns
- 6Supporting continuous improvement (Kaizen, Six Sigma) projects with data
