Fan engagement roles at smaller franchises and regional leagues may be generalist marketing roles with "fan engagement" in the title rather than dedicated specialist positions. Salary bands vary significantly between IPL-level and lower-tier properties. The skills — CRM, content strategy, performance marketing — transfer directly to D2C and e-commerce marketing roles that pay comparably or better.
